Impact of Indonesian Sustainable Palm Oil (ISPO) Certification to Environmental Behavior of Palm Oil Plantation Companies

In order to realize sustainable palm oil plantations and overcome negative impacts of it, Indonesian government has required Sustainable Palm Oil (ISPO) certification plantation companies. After 10 years implementation, it is important know the impact ISPO on environmental behavior companies, especially related deforestation land fires. Using qualitative method, this study investigates changes in seven company deforestation, fires as results analyze cause changes. This showed that implementations are able change company's reduce forest conversion concession areas increase conservation a fulfillment principles criteria. The those company’s caused by pressure issue regulation, influence internal stakeholders responding understanding ISPO, encouragement get easy finance access from banks.
